The Challenge

Vancouver Lookout is one of the city's most recognizable attractions, drawing tourists, locals, school groups, and private event guests to the top of Harbour Centre for panoramic views of the city. But the website wasn't keeping up. Visitors couldn't easily find pricing, audio tour information, or accessibility details. Private event prospects had to dig for rental info. And the site's structure was making it harder, not easier, for Google to surface Vancouver Lookout when people searched for things to do in the city.

The brief was clear: make a landmark feel like a landmark online.

The Solution

We led a focused refresh of the Vancouver Lookout website, partnering with our developers to rebuild the site's structure, sharpen its content, and modernize the experience across desktop and mobile. Our goal was to balance design, usability, and search readiness so the new site could serve both day-to-day visitor needs and longer-term marketing goals.

Our goal was to balance design, usability, and search readiness so the new site could serve both day-to-day visitor needs and longer-term marketing goals.

Creating a clearer visitor journey

We restructured the site around how visitors actually behave: planning a visit, checking admission, exploring audio tours, reviewing accessibility, or considering the space for a private event. Every page now answers the question someone is most likely asking when they land there. Less digging, fewer dead ends, faster decisions.

Strengthening the SEO and AEO foundation

Search isn't just Google anymore. People are asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini what to do in Vancouver, and AI search engines surface the sites that have clean structure and clear answers. We rewrote the site with both traditional SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) in mind, restructuring page hierarchies, tightening copy around real visitor questions, and giving each topic a clear home on the site. Pricing, private rentals, audio tours, accessibility — all easy for both humans and AI to find.

Bringing the brand experience online

Vancouver Lookout has been a part of the city's skyline since 1977. The website needed to feel that way. We refined the visual direction and content flow so the site reflects the brand's role as both a tourism destination and a Vancouver icon, while keeping the experience easy to use.

Conclusion

Vancouver Lookout has been showing the city to people for nearly 50 years. The website now does the same — clearly, confidently, and with the kind of digital presence a Vancouver icon deserves. If you're a tourism destination, attraction, or experience-driven brand that needs your website to do more than look polished, let's talk.
